The performing arts are alive and well in the Palm Beach area, with its overabundance of terrific venues you can attend to see live performing arts events. The Kravis Center for
the Performing Arts is a spectacular entertainment facility to
take in a variety of
great performances. The well versed Ballet Florida, Palm
Beach Opera and Palm Beach Pops Orchestra call the Kravis
Center home. Top
headliners such as Bill Cosby and
Wynton Marsalis, also perform regularly. This grand entertainment facility is comprised of three venues: a 2,193-seat concert
hall, 300-seat playhouse and 1,400-seat outdoor
amphitheatre. Practically every night there's something happening on the Kravis Center entertainment calendar. Speaking of outdoor amphitheatres, the Cruzan Amphitheatre at the South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach and the Centre for the Arts at Mizner Park in Boca Raton are other exciting choices with a laundry list of concerts and other events taking place. Entertaining Off Broadway shows can be seen via the Florida Stage in Manalapan and Royal Poinciana Playhouse in Palm Beach. Just minutes from City Place is the sensational Cuillo Centre For The Arts, which has both a 377-seat thrust Mainstage theatre for plays and musicals and a 45-seat Second Story Theatre for more intimate performances such as cabaret-style concerts. Care to
be awed by a fine classical presentation? Then we
encourage you to treat yourself to a performance by the area's very
own Palm
Beach Symphony. If
you're
looking for more of a pop culture performance in a massive arena-type
setting, you can't go wrong with either the Bank
Atlantic Center in
Sunrise or the American
Airlines Arena in
Miami.
